Happy Halloween!

Well we had a successful Halloween night last Friday. I didn't have to work on Halloween day, so I got to spend the whole day with my kiddos. I tried to explain the whole "trick or treating" thing to Caleb, and by the time we actually went later that night he was saying "trick or treat." (In fact he is still saying "trick or treat" in the hopes we will continue to give him candy :) Caleb decided to be a lion this year. He loves to roar and play "lions" with daddy, so we found him a nice lion costume. We've had if for a couple of weeks, and he would put it on almost every day after day care. I was afraid he wouldn't want to wear it on actual Halloween night, but luckily he was still excited to be a lion.

We stuck with the animal theme and had Aubrey wear a giraffe outfit that Grandma Marjean bought her from the San Diego zoo last spring. We loaded up and headed to Great Grandma Betty's first, and Caleb had a good chance to practice his new "trick or treating" skills. Next we went to Grandma Teresa's and dropped off Aubrey, so we could stop by my friend Beth's house. Then we headed back to Grandma Teresa's and waited for cousin Jaxon to get into town. Aunt Jessie, cousin Jaxon, Matt, and Caleb went around to the houses in Grandma Teresa's neighborhood. Caleb enjoyed it, but it was too cold to stay out for long. We ate supper at Grandma Teresa's and then we headed home.

You'd never see this in the wild :)
