5 Months Old!

Caleb turned 5 months old yesterday! He is still growing like a weed and loves to coo and giggle. He really is a very good-natured baby.  He still doesn't like rice cereal and we've also tried some baby oatmeal, but he's just not a fan. We will just have to keep trying! Caleb has been getting into more of a routine now. He usually goes to sleep around 7:00 pm and wakes up around 6:30 am which has been amazing! He has also become a much better napper which I know his babysitter has appreciated!

Celebrating Cousin Landon's 1st Birthday!

We headed back to the Manson area for the weekend to see family and to celebrate cousin Landon's 1st birthday party. On Saturday Nolan and Landon came out to Grandma Marjean's while Adam and Sarah got ready for the party. Nolan, Landon, and Caleb were all full of smiles! It's always so much fun to try and get a good picture of the boys, but it's quite a trick to catch them all in a good mood! Landon has changed so much since we saw him last...and he was so nice to Caleb. Landon liked to give Caleb toys and pat him on the head. Too cute!!!!

Sunday we enjoyed going to church with Grandma Marjean and Dale, and then we headed over to Adam and Sarah's for the birthday party in the afternoon. I think Caleb would have slept through the whole party if I hadn't awakened him, but I wanted him to see all the party goers so I woke him up. (And I hoped he would save some sleeping for when he got in the car for the ride home.) Landon was surrounded by so much family! He was so cute eating his "smash" cake and exploring his new toys. We were so happy to get to celebrate with him as he turned 1!! It's amazing how fast the time flies by! It has made me start to think about Caleb turning one...but I'm getting ahead of myself...that's a full 7 months away! Thank goodness!

We love to get smiles and giggles out of Caleb. He is so ticklish! It so much fun to talk in his ear or blow on his tummy...he just giggles and giggles!

Playtime

Caleb has really started grabbing and "playing" with his toys more and more. He loves to have his giraffe blanket or burp rag cover his face and play some peek-a-boo with us. He rolls over more easily, and goes from back to front and front to back all over his blanket. He giggles and smiles so much now too, but it doesn't matter how many times he does it we just love to see and hear his happy little coos! We think he might have a tooth coming though because the drool just keeps increasing...but nothing has peeked out yet.

Caleb's 1st Rice Cereal...

Well we had Caleb try some rice cereal this week. The first time he was very unsure of it and made some terrible faces. The second time was better, but he still isn't a big fan. We will have to keep working with him to get him used to it! Here's a video of his second time...with Grandma Teresa helping to encourage him...
