Auntie Hunter's Graduation Party Weekend

We headed back to the Manson area on Saturday the 3rd, so we could celebrate Hunter's graduation from high school! We stopped at Uncle Adam and Aunt Sarah's house first to check out their garage sale and made a couple of purchases... Uncle Adam grilled us some brats, and then Sarah and I headed out to help with decorating at Hunter's party.

We enjoyed spending the extra time with Hunter, and then the party started and the crazy Ramthun family and others started showing up. As usual the time spent with family was so much fun. I feel bad for anyone who gave in to Caleb's request to go see the horses...he asked about every other minute. Aside from a little rain and wind, the party went wonderfully. Unfortunately Caleb and his cousin Landon had skipped their naps, so they weren't very cheerful and we decided to head back into Manson to put the boys to bed.

Sunday we enjoyed a lazy day at Adam and Sarah's house. We ate lunch with Grandma Marjean at the Pizza Ranch, and then we headed on home to Northwood. (At which point I somehow "lost" our camera...and found it finally yesterday when I was packing my suitcase for another trip back to the Manson area :)

Uncle Adam attempted to give Caleb his first real haircut, but it was a complete failure. Caleb had a bit of a meltdown... We will have to try again in the future...

Caleb's 2nd Birthday!

Well, as you can see we are nearly a month late with this post...I lost our camera for a couple of weeks...

Anyways, We had a small birthday party for Caleb on Sunday April 27th. We were so happy to see most of Caleb's family could be there. The theme was "animals" because Caleb loves animals right now. People started arriving around 3:00 and stayed until almost 7:00. Caleb was just waking up from his nap when the first guests arrived. It took him a little bit to adjust to everybody at our house, but by the time cousin Landon arrived the two of them were on the move!

We enjoyed snacks and conversations, and then Caleb opened up his presents. He got so many wonderful new gifts: a tricycle, an outside playhouse, a lawnmower, lots of animals, a play-dough set, bath drums, a Thomas the train set, and money that we plan to use to buy a wagon for Caleb.

Next we sang Happy Birthday to Caleb and watched as he and Landon tried to blow out the candles. (Too cute!) Then we enjoyed supper together of smoked pork sandwiches, chips, fruit, pasta salad, Vienna bread, and "dirt" salad. The night wound down as everyone enjoyed cupcakes.... except Caleb. I realized this the next day that we had neglected to give Caleb a cupcake! Oops! At least he got to enjoy one the night before...

Thanks to everyone who shared in Caleb's 2nd birthday! We are always happy to spend time together with family!

Caleb Turns 2!

Caleb turned 2, Saturday April 26th! It's hard for us to believe our little guy is two! He has his ornery moments, but for the most part he is a very happy little boy! We know he will be a wonderful big brother... Some of his favorite things to do are play with his animals, play hide and seek (not very well :), eat snacks, swing, watch cartoons, and much more. Some of his favorite foods are Cheetos, cereal, raisins, french fries, noodles, eggs, and of course cheese! He especially likes to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider, The Wheels on the Bus, and Skidimarink. We look forward to the next year ahead full of more milestones...
