Happy Thanksgiving!

Well Caleb spent his first Thanksgiving in Nevada, Iowa with most of our Ramthun family. We had a wonderful meal, largely prepared by Great Uncle Dan and Great Aunt Jane. The food was wonderful and the people and conversations were well overdue. We had a great day!

Mostly cousins playing some basketball...but check out Great Aunt Denise's moves!

Brent and Caleb giving each other funny looks.

Saturday we celebrated Thanksgiving at Grandma Teresa's. Caleb and cousin Makayla are becoming so much more active. While cousin Jaxon was taking a nap, Uncle Jay teased Caleb and Makayla with his remote control car. They loved chasing it around, and when they finally bored of the car they attacked each other! It was too darn cute. Makayla grabbed on to Caleb's leg and wouldn't let go. Too cute!!!!!

Caleb is already trying to take toys from his cousin Makayla.

So Caleb and Makayla like to crawl at each other, but they don't realize they will bonk each other in the head!

Cousin Makayla "attacking" Caleb...maybe he shouldn't take the toy she's playing with.

Makayla got him good!

Lazy Weekends

We've spent the last couple of weekends at home. Last weekend Caleb was still recovering from his cold, and we were happy to stay inside and snuggle with him. He's getting even closer to crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks a little bit, but he hasn't quite gotten the push to crawl... thank goodness! He does move pretty well with his army crawl. We can't leave him in the living room by himself anymore!

Sunday morning Caleb gave us an early wake-up call...and it took us a couple of hours to notice why. His first tooth has just pushed through! Watch out fingers, Caleb has a new tooth to show off!

Discovering the shelf...

Such a happy little boy!

Oops...bright flash!

Mommy's Birthday Weekend

We headed back to the Manson area for the weekend to spend some time with family and to celebrate my birthday. Saturday Sarah and I enjoyed some girl time shopping  and going out to eat lunch. Matt, Uncle Adam, Caleb, and cousins Nolan and Landon had some man time and hung out in Manson. Great Grandpa Ron, Grandpa Dennis, Linda, Hunter, Ray, and Mary came over to Adam and Sarah's for supper and playtime. The kids especially had fun playing with Hunter.

Sunday Grandma Marjean had family over to celebrate my birthday. We enjoyed some wonderful food and great conversations. Some of us even went for a walk along the shoreline at Twin Lakes... we could walk all the way from Grandma Marjean and Dale's to the state park! We had a wonderful weekend, but Caleb must have had a little too much fun because he's been under the weather the last couple of days.

Caleb likes to swing! We are going to have to get a swing for our backyard.
