Caleb's Candyland Birthday Party!

Well Caleb's party did not go as planned, but he was a lucky boy who ended up with 2 parties instead of 1! We hosted his first party at our house on Sunday April 24th. Those in attendance included Grandma Teresa, Grandpa Craig, Uncle Jay-Jay, Uncle Dave, Aunt Jessie, Great Grandma Betty, cousin Jaxon, cousin Makayla, Great Grandpa Ron, Grandpa Dennis, Grandma Linda, Uncle Houston, Aunt Hunter, Daddy, Mommy, Aubrey, and of course the birthday boy himself.

We enjoyed a meal of hot beef sundaes, a relish tray, fresh fruit, and chocolate pudding. Shortly after eating Caleb opened his gifts. He was spoiled again as usual! New semis, clothes, a scooter, a train set, and more...

Then we lit the candles on his Candyland board cake and sang "Happy Birthday" to him. He was so excited to blow out his candles. It only took him a couple of tries before he got it! After enjoying some cake, we all headed outside to enjoy the nice weather. The kids had a great time playing, and the adults enjoyed the relaxing weather.

Happy Easter!

We had a fun filled Easter weekend again this year. Thursday night Grandma Teresa brought over Easter baskets for the kids, and they loved the cute sock monkeys and checking out all the candy in the baskets. Friday we headed back to Manson and stayed at Adam and Sarah's house with Grandma Marjean and cousin Nolan because Uncle Adam and Aunt Sarah were away for the week to celebrate their 10th anniversary (a couple of months early). We enjoyed a relaxing evening and Great Grandma Ruth stopped over and gave the kids more Easter goodies. She also hid some eggs, and the kids had a lot of fun searching the house for them.

Saturday morning Aubrey and Caleb searched the house for their Easter baskets from Grandma Marjean. Then Aubrey, Grandma Marjean, and I went to a wedding shower in Pomeroy. On our way back we picked up Mabel and Landon and had them search for their Easter baskets from Grandma Marjean. Next we headed out to the lake to Grandma Marjean and Grandpa Dale's house to prepare for the next day.

Easter morning arrived and we tried to take a nice family picture...wish some success. Then we headed off to church to enjoy the annual breakfast bake. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed seeing a lot of familiar faces. Then we enjoyed a wonderful church service and headed back to Grandma Marjean's for a wonderful Easter dinner and LOTS of eggs to hunt for.

The kids had a wonderful time, but they were exhausted from all the fun. Aubrey fell asleep before we even made it to highway 20 :)
