2 Months Old!

We can't believe our little guy is two months old already. On Tuesday the 26th he had his 2 month check up and weighed in at 16 lbs 2 oz and was 24 1/2 inches long. He is a smiling fool most of the time, and he even thinks about rolling over sometimes. We are so lucky to be parents and can't imagine life before Caleb!

2 Months Old!!
What a big little boy!

He gets closer and closer to rolling over...he gets on his side and needs just a little push and he would make it!

We decided to try out the Bumbo...as you can see it seemed to work, but his neck isn't quite strong enough to have control of it. He looks so big when he sits in the Bumbo though!

Baptism Weekend!

Caleb was baptized on Sunday at First Lutheran Church here in Northwood. Matt's brother Jay and my brother Adam and his wife Sarah are Caleb's godparents. Caleb did a wonderful job through the service and only cried a little when he was surprised by the water on his head. He had a great afternoon being snuggled by so many family members. We even got some great pictures, but we missed a couple of family shots we had hoped to get. We have to make sure to get a picture of Caleb with his Johnson cousins at his cousin Makayla's baptism!

We were so lucky to be surrounded by so much family! We love you all and appreciate your involvement in Caleb's life!! We hope Caleb will develop a strong faith and love of God with the love and support of his extended family!

Matt's First Father's Day!

We enjoyed Matt's first Father's Day by going to the Worth County fair here in Northwood. We ate some good fair food and walked around looking at the exhibits. The mini doughnuts are the BEST! Next year Caleb will have to try some. Caleb started getting hot, so we walked over to Teresa's and hung out with the family.

A Trip to Twin Lakes

Caleb and I drove back to Twin Lakes to stay at Grandma Marjean's for a couple of days last week. On Wednesday afternoon we stopped by Grandpa Dennis' office and saw him and Great Aunt Denise. Then we stopped at the clinic so Grandma Marjean could show Caleb around. Grandma Marjean weighed Caleb and he weighed just over 14 lbs with his clothes on!!! No wonder he is already wearing his 3-6 month clothes!

We had so much fun Thursday with cousin Landon and Grandma Marjean. We also had some visitors stop by...including Lisa and Seth Aljets, Alanna, and Great Grandma Ruth. Later Sarah came to have supper and pick up Landon. She and Grandma Marjean took the opportunity to take some pictures of Landon and Caleb. On Friday we made some stops to see my friend Amber and her three year old daughter Morgan. Morgan loved helping with Caleb, but silly me I didn't get any pictures!

Smiles for Daddy!

Caleb loves to smile for us! Matt has been much better at getting proof of that with videos! Here is another one of his videos of smiles.

Go Hawks! (Sorry ISU fans)

Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Dave gave Caleb an Iowa Hawkeyes outfit when he was born, and Uncle Jay gave him a Herkie pillow pet. I combined the two for a cute photo-op! Here is the result...

Monkeys and Elephats Too...

So I had a video I wanted to post on the last post, but it wouldn't upload. So here it is. So you can see some of his smiles!!! (They aren't his best ones, but they are still fun to see!)

Monkeys and Elephants!!!

Caleb becomes more aware of his surroundings every day. He now enjoys looking at the monkeys and elephants on his bouncy seat and laying on his activity mat and looking at himself in the mirror. He is just too darn cute...if I do say so myself!

Visitors for the Day

Great Grandma Ruth and cousin Ann came up to visit for the day on Wednesday. We had pizza for lunch, we gave Caleb a bath, and Ann and Grandma helped me do some things around the house. We had a wonderful day, and Caleb gave Grandma some nice big smiles!

Smiley!

Caleb has started smiling more and more in the last 2 weeks. It's still hard to get a good picture, but Matt managed to get a little video of him smiling. We will keep working to get better smiley pictures, but here is what we have so far...
