Aubrey's Disney Princess Birthday Party!

Aubrey decided she wanted to have a princess party with cupcakes, so that's what we did! We cheated and ordered food from Tequila's in Northwood, and it was a great choice! We got so much food!!! (Our freezer is still thanking us :-) Grandma Marjean worked her magic on a watermelon and made a Cinderella carriage that Aubrey loved!

Aubrey was so excited for everyone to come, and it was a beautiful day that we spent mostly outside. We are so thankful for all of the family that showered Aubrey with love as well as gifts. What a lucky little girl! Aubrey definitely felt like a princess!

Someone was sad when her party was over and the sugar wore off. I love this girl, tears and all!

Aubrey is 3!!!

I guess I've been in denial long enough...the truth is Aubrey turned 3 two weeks ago!!! That's right our sweet and sassy little girl is 3! How can that be?!? She is such a little chatter box, who loves princesses, dolls and all things glittery, and she can't wait to go to preschool. She has a very love-hate relationship with her brother, but I think she's going to be lost without him when he starts kindergarten. She's still a good eater but doesn't care much for meat. She loves fruit and cheese :). She also loves to play outside and is usually barefoot. She's our princess tom boy, and I wouldn't change her a bit! (Except when she's as stubborn as I am :-)

Since I have Wednesdays off I got to spend the day with Aubrey and Caleb. We went to Rochester to the Children's Museum which was fun, but it wasn't what I expected. I wish we had gone up to Minneapolis, but the kids had fun so that's what mattered. Once Matt got home from work we gave Aubrey her gift from all of us...a new princess bike and a helmet! She was so excited!!!

Then Grandma Teresa and GG Betty stopped over to wish Aubrey a happy birthday too! Grandma Teresa gave her a CD player, CDs, Disney princess figurines, and a barbie. Then we sang Happy Birthday to her and had some mini cupcakes! After that Aubrey demanded we go on a bike ride :-) Once we got back from our ride she kept asking to go again.

She had a great day! (She was a bit confused because she kept asking about her party, and I kept explaining that her party wasn't until Saturday :-)

Donuts for breakfast!

Well she's 3, but she's our #1 girl :-)

Yankton!

In July, we enjoyed a long weekend in Yankton, SD with Grandpa Dennis, Aunt Hunter, Uncle Adam, Aunt Sarah, cousins Landon and Mabel..

It was a relaxing long weekend full of family fun. The kids and adults enjoyed the water, Caleb had his first experience mini-vacation, and the kids simply enjoyed being together.

We missed Nolan, Linda, and Houston; and hope that maybe next time they will be able to join us.
