Happy Mother's Day!!

The weekend started off with a sweet delivery!! Matt ordered Sharri's Berries (chocolate covered strawberries) that arrived from the FedEx man just as I got home from work. I selfishly enjoyed most of them, but I did share a few with my family. Aubrey became addicted. Every time I opened up the refrigerator for the rest of the weekend, Aubrey would stand in front of the door then cry and whine wanting another strawberry.

Caleb made a card at preschool and gave it to me Sunday morning. The kids had also made hand print flowers at daycare, so they gave me those too. We went to church with the hopes that maybe Caleb would participate and sing in church with his preschool class. No such luck. This time he sat in the front while all the other kids sang, but he did play his wooden sticks for one of the songs. (I'll take it as a Mother's day win!) After Sunday school, we picked up Caleb and headed out to enjoy time at Aunt Jessie and Uncle Dave's.

We spent the early afternoon playing with Grandma Teresa, Great Grandma Betty, Uncle Jay, Aunt Jessie, and cousins Jaxon and Makayla. The kids had so much fun together but by 2:00 they were exhausted, so we headed in to town to get some much needed naps. I enjoyed most of the afternoon outside weeding the flower beds. And then the Mother's day weekend was complete.

I might not have an overly fabulous and exciting life, but I love being a mom. I am so thankful for my little family!! Bring on another year!

Caleb's Birthday day!

Unfortunately Caleb spent his birthday morning at my Great Uncle Merlin's funeral, but Grandma Marjean made him feel special with a giant singing balloon when he woke up.

After the funeral, we (Caleb, Aubrey, and mommy) returned home to see daddy. Caleb opened his present from Mom, Dad, and Aubrey which was a few new toy trucks and toy vehicles. Then we let Caleb choose where he wanted to eat supper. He chose pizza, so we helped him pick Pizza Hut. He loved the bread sticks and pizza, and then we ended our little trip with some Culver's ice cream!

Overall, I think Caleb had a wonderful day surrounded by family even if part of that day was at a funeral. What a lucky child he is to have so many loving people in his life!!!!

I can't believe my first born in 4 years old now!!! It seems like just yesterday we were taking him home from the hospital. What a blessing he has been. He is our quiet, shy, loud, truck-loving boy; and we wouldn't change a thing about him!

Caleb loved his Pizza Hut!

Caleb's Candyland Party #2 :)

We ended Monday April 25th with another birthday party for Caleb. I got to reuse all of the decorations we had used the day before, and I brought the cake the 2 hours to be enjoyed by everyone there as well.

Craig and Lisa picked up pizzas, and we also enjoyed some snacks and candy before we moved on to the cake. We sang "Happy Birthday" to Caleb again and watched him blow out his candles with some help from his cousin Landon.

Then Caleb got to open a couple more presents. What a lucky boy! Afterwards he and Landon enjoyed playing together for awhile before it ended up past their bed time and we had to take them home and put them to bed.

Decorated and ready for the party guests!

Cake and candy ready to eat!

Enjoying some pizza.

More party guests.
