6 Months!

Aubrey is now 6 months old...although she won't have her 6 month check up until February 23rd (so we will have to wait to tell you her updated height and weight). Aubrey continues to be a very happy baby, and she still loves to watch her brother. He is really good at making her laugh and he still likes to "help" us with her. She has also developed into quite a momma's girl, and she usually cries when I leave the room.

Aubrey loves to lay on her tummy and reach for her toys. One of her favorite toys right now is her Little People Prince Charming that she loves to chew on. Oh yes, and everything goes into her mouth right now! She doesn't have any teeth yet, but you can tell by the amount of drool that comes out of her mouth that she isn't too far off :) She also enjoys spending time in her jumperoo and her walker, and she is just tall enough that she can move around a little bit in her walker...we do have to be careful to make sure Caleb doesn't push her around (He can get going a bit too fast :)

We are anxious for some nicer weather to come back to Iowa, but until then we try to enjoy our time together indoors. And I just realized I only have 13 weeks of school left before summer!

Somebody didn't want to leave her sticker alone!

She loves her feet :)

Naked baby!

Whenever she is near her brother she tries to grab him :)

She just didn't want to let go...

 Such a giggly little girl!

Meeting Mabel and Fun with Cousins!

Over the weekend, Caleb, Aubrey, and I headed back to the Manson area to meet the newest member of the family...adorable little Mabel. What a sweetheart! First we stopped to see Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Linda on Friday night. On Saturday we brought some lunch to Adam and Sarah's, met little Mabel, and then we all headed over to Great Grandma Ruth's to enjoy the snow before it started melting away.

Caleb enjoyed his first sledding experience, and the boys enjoyed playing outside for nearly an hour. The girls hung out inside, and eventually the Aljets family stopped by and met Mabel too. Saturday evening we enjoyed a quiet night with Grandma Marjean (Grandpa Dale was in Honduras), and Sunday we went to church and then enjoyed Sunday dinner at Great Grandma Ruth's.

It was a fun weekend that went by all to quickly. Luckily Mabel will be baptized in a few weeks, so we will be back to enjoy family again soon!

Superbowl Sunday...

Well our original plans for the weekend were ruined by the snow...I guess Caleb and Aubrey are probably happy, but mommy was definitely disappointed! We had planned on going back to Fort Dodge to meet the newest member of the family, Mabel Ellen Ramthun, born to Adam and Sarah on the morning of Friday January 30th, but Matt had to work Saturday morning and then with all the snow we didn't think we would be able to make it back. I think we made the responsible choice, and now when we go back this coming weekend Caleb and Aubrey will both get to meet Mabel too :) Here's what we spent our weekend doing...

Playing with his semis...in his "astronaut" outfit.

Everything goes in her mouth right now!
Watching daddy blow the snow out of the driveway.
We ended up staying home all weekend and watched the Superbowl in the comfort of our living room. Caleb wasn't very interested...until the halftime show came on. Then he was glued to the TV, and he danced his little heart out! Do you think he has a future on the show "So You Think You Can Dance?"   :)
