Omaha Zoo!

Caleb and Landon must have been excited for the zoo because they both woke up before 6:00 am , but the adults didn't complain too much because they were so excited to go too!!!  Caleb fell asleep on the short ride to the zoo which gave him just enough of a rest to skip his morning nap. We arrived before 9:00 (the actual time the zoo opens), but they had already opened the gate so we got in right away! The boys had so much fun seeing all of the animals at the zoo. Cousin Landon was so cute because he knows so many of the animal noises, and he liked to "talk" to them :-) Here's how our trip went...

Look closely and you will see the Johnson's looking at a map of the zoo... The Ramthun's took a ride in the Skyfari and followed us as we walked along the path to look at the rhinos!

Back in the car...he was getting very sleepy....

And 5 minutes later...the boys were out! And slept almost the whole way home! They were such troopers, and really seemed to enjoy their trip to the zoo. We can't wait to go back time and time again in the years to come!

Off to Omaha!

Saturday  the 25th Caleb finally got his 1 year pictures taken (after weather and sickness pushed us off so they are actually his 13 month  pictures but oh well!)... which will be a different blog sometime in the future.

After his "photo shoot" we had a quick lunch at Grandma Marjean's and Grandpa Dale's and then headed off on our first vacation of the year with Uncle Adam, Aunt Sarah, and cousin Landon to Omaha. We missed cousin Nolan who stayed with Grandma and Grandpa, but we hear he had a great time at Twin Lakes :-)

The trip went well even though Caleb decided he didn't want a nap on the ride there, but he looked out the window and hardly made a peep until we got close. We arrived in Omaha around 4:00 and made a couple of stops, one at Sam's Club and then at Cabella's where Uncle Adam and daddy spent some money :-) Then we picked up some Pizza Hut pizza and headed to our hotel. We had a quick supper and then spent time swimming in the pool. It was actually Caleb's first time swimming in a pool! The kids started getting tired, so we went back up to the room and gave them a bath, got them in their pjs and eventually got them into bed. The adults enjoyed some grown-up talk and then headed off to bed early. Sunday was going to be a big day!

Amber's Graduation Party!

We went down to Nevada last Saturday to celebrate mommy's cousin Amber's graduation from high school. We are so proud of her, and we had such a fun time at her party!

Mother's Day!

Mother's Day 2013 was a wonderful day! We spent the day reading, playing, and spending time as a family. With his daddy's help, Caleb got his mommy 4 new charms for her Pandora bracelet! What a wonderful son and helpful daddy! Later in the afternoon we went over to Grandma Teresa's for steaks and salads. It was delicious! What an amazing 2nd Mother's Day for mommy!
