February 26th...

Uncle Adam and cousin Nolan stayed with us Monday night. Uncle Adam and Caleb had a little time to play Tuesday morning before Adam and Nolan had to leave for Nolan's doctor's appointment in Rochester.

He loves a good horsey ride!

I realize now that Caleb turned 10 months old today, but I neglected to get his 10 month photo taken before he went off to bed. I will have to do so tomorrow!

Weekend of Grandma Marjean's 50th Birthday Party!

We spent this last weekend back in the Manson area celebrating Grandma Marjean's 50th birthday with a party on Saturday February 23rd. Grandma wasn't too keen on having a big party, but she ended up enjoying herself and loved seeing her family and friends. Caleb was such a good boy! He didn't get an afternoon nap, but he pushed on through and had a great day with everyone. (Unfortunately the majority of pictures I took were on Grandma Marjean's camera...but here's what we have...)

The Backyardigans.

Well we have discovered Caleb and his mommy share a trait... we both love television, and we become completely entertained by it. We have found the show The Backyardigans is his favorite. He doesn't really watch the show, but he loves the introduction to each episode. Just watch...

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Sunday was Matt's Birthday... He is 29 years old. We spent the day at home and stayed away from the icky weather. On Saturday Caleb and I had gone to Mason City and watched Nathan Aljets WIN his 6th grade basketball tournament. Caleb wasn't sure about all of the noise at first, but by the championship game he was clapping along with the crowd. Lisa, Nathan, and Grandma Marjean took the short detour to Northwood to check out the house and see Caleb move around in his own environment. Then Saturday night we went over to Uncle Dave and Aunt Jessie's house. Uncle Jay came over too. Caleb had fun playing with his cousins Jaxon and Makayla, and Aunt Jessie took some really cute pictures of the kids... Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me. I hope I can get some copies! We had such a fun weekend!

I also gave Caleb a little haircut the week before... I'm not sure I cut enough off, but I just hate to cut his little baby hair off!

Funtime

Sorry I meant to post this last week, but I forgot to publish it... oops.

We enjoy spending our evenings playing with Caleb. Matt is getting closer to finishing his EMT class. We hope he passes, so he will get to be home with us more often. Caleb is such a goof-ball. He just giggles and giggles sometimes over the strangest things. The other night he just kept laughing when Grandma Teresa was wiggling a piece of pipe foam at him.

9 Month Check-Up

Well, I'm a terrible mother. I have no idea how much Caleb officially weighs or how tall he really is... I was too busy trying to get him to stop crying while he was being weighed and measured to pay attention. I believe he was short of the 25 lb mark as I had suspected. And his doctor said he is in the 90-95% for height and weight and the 50% for head circumference, so he is doing well. He just doesn't seem to like the doctor's office anymore! No shots this time around, so maybe by his year appointment he won't be afraid of the doctor's office any more. Once I held him he calmed down, and smiled and flirted with his doctor and nurse. We are blessed to have a healthy baby at this time of the year, when so much sickness is going around. We hope he can stay that way through the rest of the cold weather!
