One Month Old!

Caleb turned one month old on Saturday the 26th! We can't believe how fast this first month has gone by! He is definitely growing longer...and thicker!

Graduation Parties!

Caleb got to see a lot of family again last weekend as we traveled to Williamsburg for Matt's cousin Adam's graduation and Nevada for my cousin Luke's graduation. He did a wonderful job riding in the car! He slept the full three and a half hours to Williamsburg on Saturday morning and the hour and a half to Nevada on Sunday and the hour and a half home from Nevada. He also got to experience his first night in a hotel! We didn't make it to the pool (I still don't want to be seen in a swimming suit!)...we will save that first for another trip!

Caleb loved meeting more family! I haven't quite gotten used to being in charge of taking pictures, so I didn't get as many photos as I had hoped...but here is a glimpse of the weekend.

A Weekend at Grandma Marjean's

Caleb got to meet his Ramthun cousins Nolan and Landon this weekend when we traveled back to Twin Lakes for my cousin Ann's graduation. Saturday Adam and Sarah went down to the state track meet so Nolan, Landon, and Caleb stayed at Grandma Marjean's house with Dale, Matt, Grandma Marjean, and me. We took the opportunity to take some pictures of the cousins together...the first of many to come I'm sure!

We ended the weekend at Great Grandma Ruth's for Ann's graduation party. Caleb didn't make it to the commencement ceremony, but I told him how amazing Ann did on her speech. He enjoyed meeting more family and spending time with everybody!

Just Hanging Out at Home

Caleb seems to change a little bit every day. He has started smiling in his sleep, but it has been quite difficult to capture it on camera. He has so many different looks for only being three and a half weeks old!!! It is so fun to watch him grow!

Matt's sister Jessie had a baby girl on May 1st, so Caleb and his cousin Makayla are only 5 days apart! Grandma Teresa prepared a room at her house for the new babies. They have pack n' plays right next to each other, one blue and one pink. It is so adorable!!! So far they enjoy taking naps together... We hope they get along because they will be spending a lot of time together!

Caleb enjoyed his first walk with mommy and  Matt's cousins Jeni and Sondra Sinek who were back from Arizona. We walked up to VerHelst drugstore to pick up somethings and stopped by Casey's so Jeni and Sondra could buy some giant gumballs that they don't sell in Arizona...

Caleb's First Two Weeks

A lot has happened in Caleb's two short weeks of life. We are so happy he got to meet his Grandpa Dave, but we wish he could have spent more time with him. We know Caleb has a guardian angel watching over him now.  Caleb also had the chance to meet many of his family members. Here are some memories from his first 2 weeks...

Caleb's Bathtime

We gave Caleb his first bath on his second day home. He did NOT enjoy it, but perhaps it was because Matt and I didn't know what we were doing! Since then he has come to like his baths much more. 

His Great Aunt Paula and Great Aunt Kathy even got to give Caleb his bath on Monday the 7th. And he really seemed to like it!

He Has Arrived!!!

Well, here goes our attempt to maintain a blog... As all of you are aware Caleb David Johnson was welcomed into the world April 26th 2012 at 7:21 am. He was 9 lbs 0.6 oz and 22 inches long. Matt and I had a long night as we arrived at the hospital on the 25th at 7:00 pm and expected to get some sleep, but Caleb was ready to get the show on the road! 12 hours later he arrived!!!! Grandma Marjean didn't make it to the hospital before Caleb was born, but not for a lack of trying...ask the state trooper who stopped her!

We enjoyed many visitors our first couple of days in the hospital, and it was nice to have Grandpa Dave nearby. We then got even more visitors at home! Matt has jumped right into daddy duty, and he hasn't even gagged yet from a dirty diaper! We are adjusting to life with a lack of sleep, and we are enjoying every minute with Caleb!
