Wisconsin Dells...Part 2

Friday we left the resort to go to the deer park. The kids thought it was awesome feeding the deer and other animals. Luckily we timed it just right so we didn't get rained on. Some of the deer were so tame that they would almost let you pet them. For the most part Aubrey didn't get too close to the deer, but when she did she seemed to like it.

Saturday we spent the morning back at the wave pool and then headed back to the condo to rest up. That night Great Aunt Paula and Great Uncle Troy brought Grandma Betty back and stayed the night at the condo with us. We had a fun evening catching up and even played a little bit of sand volleyball.

It was a wonderful trip, but it was nice to return home on Sunday afternoon. I think this trip will be even more fun as the kids get older, and we won't have to hover over them constantly :)

Wisconsin Dells...Part 1

Wednesday June 10th we loaded up the car and headed off to the Wilderness Lodge Resort at the Wisconsin Dells. Grandma Teresa, Craig, Great Grandma Betty, Uncle Dave, Aunt Jessie, Jaxon and Makayla all packed up and headed there too. We stayed in a four bedroom condo which was very nice and had enough room for all of us to get to stay together. Teresa's sister Paula met us there and picked up Betty to take her back to Chicago for a few days to visit with her family. After they left, we headed up to one of the outdoor waterparks, and it's a good thing we did because unfortunately it was the only day we got to be outside.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we spent most of our time at the indoor waterparks and in the arcade. The kids all loved the water! We were a little nervous about Aubrey, but she absolutely loved it. Caleb wasn't thrilled about the slides, but I have to say that was a relief to me. I didn't have to be quite so worried about him running off by himself. At first Jessie and I didn't really want to take the kids to the wave pool, but by Friday when we still couldn't be outside we decided we should try it out. It's a good thing we did because they loved it so much! It totally wore them...and us out!
