3 Months Old!

Our little guy turned 3 months old yesterday! We celebrated the day by driving up to Rochester to visit Aunt Sarah and Cousin Nolan in the hospital. (And Uncle Adam too...) Nolan graced us with some smiles, and Sarah did too! We are so happy Nolan was doing well yesterday, and we hope he gets to go home soon. As I wrote in the previous post Caleb shows us new tricks almost every day. He is such a happy baby, and loves to give us great big smiles! I'll be sad to start working in a few weeks and hand him over to his new baby-sitter. I'm so happy I got to spend three months with him all to myself during the day though!

So happy to be 3 months old!!

Yipeee!!!

I'm SO big!

What is that?

Andy the elephant sure tastes good!

We have a roller on our hands!

Well, Caleb decided to show us a new trick. On Tuesday night I went in to check on him and he was on his stomach! I rolled him back over, and he went back to sleep. I went in a few hours later because he was crying, and he was back on his stomach. During the day he continued to show off his rolling ability as he played on the floor. The only unfortunate part is that he has not mastered rolling from his tummy to his back, so he gets mad if he is on his stomach too long!

Caleb has also started playing more with his toys. He is getting better control of his hands, but he still becomes frustrated quite often when his hands or his toys don't do what he wants them to do. We love him so much!!!

Showing off on his tummy!

Attacking his lion.

So proud of himself for rolling over!

Ramthun Reunion 2012

Caleb made his first appearance at a Ramthun Reunion this year in Estes Park, Colorado. We left Wednesday afternoon, stayed overnight in Grand Island, Nebraska, and made it to Estes Park around 4:00 Thursday afternoon. Most of the time in Estes Park was spent hanging out at the cabins with family, but we also went on a couple of little adventures.

Friday morning Sarah, Nolan, Landon, Grandpa Dennis, Matt, Caleb, and I did some shopping in downtown Estes Park while a small group of the family went on a hike of the Twin Sisters. Later that evening of Friday the 13th Matt and  I went on a tour of the Stanley hotel (in the movie The Shining) with about 15 of our family members. I enjoyed the historical part of the tour while most of the family had fun attempting to scare out a ghost. (Sorry we didn't take any pictures of our adventures at the Stanley.)

Saturday morning Matt, Caleb, Adam, Nolan, Landon, Great Grandpa Ron, Grandpa Dennis, and I went on Old Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. It's a one-way gravel road that leads up to a visitors center. The boys all loved it, and I only got nervous a couple of times...I enjoyed the ride back down a lot more because we were on a nice 2 lane paved road. In the afternoon I stayed with Caleb while Matt and a bunch of others rode a tram up a mountain in Estes Park to get another breath-taking view of the Rockies.

Stopping on the gravel road to check out the views.

Caleb spent most of the trip up and down the mountains sleeping.

Our family!

Sunday morning we woke up early and made it all the way back to Northwood in one day! Caleb did a wonderful job riding in the car and only had a couple of minor meltdowns considering the twelve and a half hour drive he endured. We had an amazing time catching up with family and introducing Caleb to the group. We are already looking forward to figuring out where the next reunion will be and what adventures we will be able to explore!

Weekend at the Lake!

We headed back to Twin Lakes for the weekend to take some family photos. Caleb had a great time at Grandma Marjean and Dale's house. He was going to try swimming, but it was a bit too windy for his liking. Instead he hung out with family while Matt and I enjoyed the water! We ended the weekend with Sunday dinner at Great Grandma Ruth's. We had a wonderful weekend and look forward to the week ahead with the Ramthun side of the family in Estes Park, Colorado!

After the professional photos...we took some of our own.
Our Family Again!!!

Caleb wasn't excited to swim, so he took a nap instead.

Abbie fed Caleb his lunch at Great Grandma Ruth's...what a good helper!

Happy 4th of July!

Caleb celebrated his first 4th of July over at Grandma Teresa's. We watched the parade from the porch and Matt rigged up a mister to keep us cool. Caleb cried every time a fire truck's siren blared, but Matt still holds out hope that he and Caleb will eventually ride a fire truck in the parade!

We ate lunch and stayed inside as much as we could, but later in the afternoon Grandma Teresa hooked up the sprinkler for cousin Jaxon (and the rest of us big kids!). It took Jaxon awhile to be brave enough to run directly through the sprinkler, but Matt and Uncle Dave showed him how it should be done. I can just imagine Caleb starting to enjoy such things at his next 4th of July! We hope everyone had a happy 4th!

Fun at Home

Caleb loves to smile, and he has started to coo more and more. We love to have "conversations" with him! Here are some pictures from this past week.

After church on Sunday. Caleb just can't keep his hands out of his mouth!

I think I caught him off guard.
