Christmas Night...

Almost everyone made it to Great Grandma Ruth's, and we all enjoyed catching up with one another. I was especially excited for my great grandma's Swedish meatballs that Aunt Rachael always makes. After stuffing ourselves full of good food, we cleaned up and organized the presents. Then the kids enjoyed playing with their toys and cousins, but after a long, fun-filled day it was time to head to Uncle Adam and Aunt Sarah's to go to bed.

Monday the 26th, we woke up to enjoy some family time before we headed back to Northwood. The kids really enjoyed playing with their cousins and their new toys, and Sarah and I enjoyed hitting up some good clearance deals at Hobby Lobby and Target :)

Christmas Day!

Christmas day we woke up and the kids hurried down to the living room to see if Santa had stopped at our house...Caleb was excited to see a little drum set complete with a cymbal and Aubrey was happy to see a Minnie Mouse tent. Then they enjoyed looking in their stockings and opening up a few other gifts.

After a quick breakfast we loaded up the car and headed for Adam and Sarah's house. It rained the entire way but luckily it never turned to freezing rain. Once we arrived at Adam and Sarah's we sat down to enjoy a delicious meal and good company. After some yummy desert it was time to open presents! We were all spoiled, but Caleb was especially excited to get a toy coffee maker and Aubrey really enjoyed her toy cleaning set :) The kids played for a bit and then it was time to pack up and head over to Great Grandma Ruth's.

Christmas Eve...

Christmas Eve was a relaxing day. We started the day off frosting cookies. The kids gave it a try, but they preferred putting the sprinkles on :)  Then we headed over to Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Craig's to celebrate with Teresa's side of the family. Again the kids had fun playing together and enjoyed seeing the Lohrman's. Then amidst some crying and exhaustion we headed home to get cookies and milk ready for Santa. The kids wrote notes to Santa and then we headed up to bed!

Sampling the goods :)

Caleb signing his name to his note.

Daddy writing down what Aubrey told him to tell Santa.

Leaving the cookies, carrot, and milk under the tree for Santa and Rudolph!

Christmas at Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Craig's

We celebrated Christmas at Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Craig's a little early this year (Saturday the 17th) because of my work schedule and Dave's work schedule. As usual the kids loved playing together, and they were so spoiled by an early visit from Santa! It was a nice relaxing day enjoying time together as a family.

Then Caleb was supposed to have his Christmas program at church Sunday the 18th, but it was so bitterly cold we decided to stay home. Grandpa Dennis, Grandma Linda, and Aunt Hunter made the drive up a bit later in the day and spent the day in the house with us. It was a fun day to stay inside and try out new toys!

Aubrey is excited to go to Grandma Teresa's!

Opening up gifts!

Aubrey got a little purse with a puppy in it. She really got into opening gifts this year.

Caleb got some army men...

Aubrey got a stroller, high chair, and pack-n-play for her dolls. She loves playing with it.

Caleb was so excited to get a watch...with games :)

Aubrey enjoyed playing with Makayla's new "alive" kitty cat.

Caleb had to try out Jaxon's new Nintedo DS.

Aubrey hanging out with Grandma Betty and Molly too.

Then Aubrey was a good littler helper and handed out the gifts to the big kids :)
Aubrey had to get out her guitar...

Because Jaxon and Makayla set up their new karaoke machine!!!

I think we might have a band in our future :)
