Little Pool Fun!

So we had some nice warm days in the middle of July, so we decided to set up a little pool for Caleb. He was hesitant at first, but he finally decided to get into the pool and loved it! He is getting especially good at spraying us with his little squirt guns and big squirter.

Happy 4th of July!

We spent our 4th of July over at Grandma Teresa's house. The kids were very entertained by the parade, although Caleb still didn't like the loud fire trucks...We also got the kids to start picking up candy. Hopefully by next year we will have them fully trained, so we won't have to do any work. There was a LOT of candy!

We ate some lunch together, and then the kids got to go back outside to play in the little pool. Jaxon loved "swimming," but Makayla and Caleb preferred to stay out of the pool and just play with the water. The kids were pretty worn out by this time, so Makayla and Caleb headed off for naps. After they woke up we enjoyed some stuffed burgers (Jay bought 2 Stuffz). They were huge burgers and delicious! We had hopes of staying up to watch the fireworks, but after such a busy day Caleb was not in the mood. So we headed home and off to bed... We hope everyone had a happy 4th of July!

Mini Vacation to Minneapolis!

We decided we should have a little vacation before the baby arrives, so we headed on up to Minneapolis last week. Daddy was really worried about the weather, but it only rained a little bit. Our first stop was the zoo. Caleb was SO excited to see all of the animals. It hardly mattered what animal it was. Caleb was excited to see all of them! He did seem to especially like the camels, monkeys, and pumas. By 5:00 it was time to head to our hotel, but first we let him pick out a souvenir. He chose a snake...yuck... We got to our hotel, ordered some pizza, and enjoyed a quiet evening. Caleb had skipped his nap, so by 7:00 his orneriness was catching up to him and he headed off to bed.

The next morning we enjoyed breakfast and then went for a swim in the pool. Caleb really does enjoy "swimming." I'm going to have to take him to the pool a couple of times before the summer is over! Next we loaded up the car and headed to Target Field to enjoy a Twins game vs. the Royals. We arrived a little early, and Caleb loved watching all of the people. I think Caleb's favorite part was eating a hot dog and popcorn :) By the end of the 2nd inning, daddy wasn't feeling very well so we decided to head on home. Caleb fell asleep almost immediately... We had a wonderful little vacation as a family of 3. Our next vacation will be for a family of 4!
