Aubrey is 4 Months Old!

Well, we were a little late getting Aubrey's 4 month old check up and shots...so I decided to wait for this post until I knew the specifics. Yesterday Aubrey had her appointment, and she weighs 16 lbs 1 oz. and is 25 1/2 inches tall. On the day she turned 4 months old she rolled from her tummy to her back and 4 days later she decided to roll from her back to her tummy :) A couple of days ago we tried rice cereal with her and she gobbled it down. Maybe we will give her a Christmas treat of some kind of veggie. She really is a happy and easy going baby, and she is such a little chatterbox and squeals and screeches. Caleb likes to talk to her and loves it when she laughs :) It's such a blessing to see the two of them interacting. We look forward to Aubrey's first Christmas, and we look forward to seeing as many friends and family as we can this holiday season!

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!

Over the past couple of weeks we have tried to do some "Christmassy" things... We decorated the tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving and attempted to take a good photo to put on our Christmas card. You be the judge... Caleb wrote a letter to Santa and dropped it off in the big mailbox uptown in Northwood. "We" wrapped presents. Caleb and I went over to Grandma Teresa's and made cookies with Grandma Teresa, Aunt Jessie, Jaxon, and Makayla. It was a blast...and the kids only ate about a thousand sprinkles :) Caleb helped make a couple of Christmas presents, and we also made a little gingerbread house village! Hopefully we will get some snow soon, and then Caleb can enjoy fun outside too!

He took it very seriously :)

First Christmas Party of the Season!

On Friday December 5th, we headed back to Manson to spend the night at Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Linda's house. We had a fun, quiet night at the house which was very relaxing. Aunt Hunter arrived after work, and we had fun catching up. Saturday morning we woke up and got things ready for celebrating Christmas all together. Grandpa Dennis was good at "directing" everybody because he's still laid up from his ankle surgery. Uncle Adam, Aunt Sarah, cousin Nolan, and cousin Landon showed up and the party really got going...then Great Grandpa Ron and finally Uncle Houston.

We enjoyed a big breakfast together, and then we all opened presents. The kids especially loved their gifts. Caleb got 2 semis!! He was so excited (and still refuses to let us play with his new semis...although he did let Grandma Teresa!). Landon got a tractor and baler, so the kids really had fun playing farm together. Caleb also got a big farm set from Uncle Houston and Aunt Hunter. He really likes setting up the cows in their fences. After gifts we enjoyed a lively game of our annual Nerf gun wars. This year the darts left a bit of a sting :)

The men kept checking on the meat in the smoker (under the guidance of Grandpa Dennis), and then Ray, Mary, Sutton, and Jill arrived. We enjoyed the afternoon together, ate an early supper, and then it was time to head home to Northwood.

Happy Birthday Grandma Teresa

Last Tuesday was Grandma Teresa's birthday, so we invited everybody over to celebrate. The kids had a great time playing together and "helping" Grandma open her presents. We enjoyed pizza, and then we sang to Grandma T. I think that was the kids favorite part :) Caleb is still asking to have another party at our house!
