Caleb's first fish!

Last weekend we headed back to Twin Lakes for Saturday and Sunday. We stopped in Manson first. Allie Koster took Caleb's 3 year pictures, Aubrey's 9 month pictures, and a few shots of the family which turned out better than expected :)

Then we headed out to Grandma Marjean and Grandpa Dale's to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. Caleb, Matt, and Grandpa Dale enjoyed some fishing; and Caleb caught his first fish! We were surprised by how long he stayed occupied with fishing...he must get that from his father. After the kids took naps we headed over to Great Grandma Ruth's to meet the chickens, and then headed over to the church for Aaron Aljet's graduation party. It was a great party, and we really enjoyed catching up with some of Grandpa Dave's family that we don't get to see very often.

Sunday we got up and headed to church. After the service we drove back to Northwood, so I could go to some Northwood-Kensett graduation parties. I took Aubrey to the first two and then traded her for Caleb and we went to four more. It was a busy and fun-filled weekend!

9 Months!

Well, we went from 3 years to 9 months in just a couple of weeks...

Aubrey was 9 months old on Saturday. She has found her "voice" and squeals with delight and frustration frequently. Caleb is such a good big brother. Sometimes he gets frustrated when she tries to take his toys, but other times when she is crying he will bring her a toy to try to make her happy :)

This past weekend we got our baby gates out and put them to use. Aubrey would stand/sit on the other side of the gate and just cry and cry. As soon as I came out of the kitchen next to her then she would stop. It's gotten a little better the last 2 days, but it's taking time to adjust. She definitely has a little attitude...

Aubrey still loves to feed herself. We still haven't tried too many table foods yet (mostly because mom is afraid she won't be able to chew it because she still only has 2 teeth!) But she is so quick and when she gets mad at you feeding her on a spoon she grabs the spoon so quickly and makes a huge mess.

She also loves to clap her hands, and she has now started to wave "bye-bye." In church last Sunday she kept waving to the older ladies sitting behind us. It was too funny.

She's not as cooperative for pictures anymore, but hopefully she will "behave" herself this weekend when we have Allie Koster take her and Caleb's pictures. We will see...
