Caleb's 3rd Birthday!

Where does the time go? Our little guy turned 3 on Sunday April 26th, and we celebrated with a Thomas & Friends themed party. First we had lunch that consisted of grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with Tom Thumb buns (thanks Grandma Marjean), cowboy beans (thanks Grandma Linda), fruit and dip (thanks GG Betty), Snicker salad (thanks Grandma Teresa), and chips.

The kids started getting restless and wanted to head outside, so I hurried to light Caleb's 3 candles. In the rush I forgot some people were eating outside, but Matt opened the door so hopefully everyone caught a glimpse of Caleb's happy face as everyone sang to him. He blew out the candles nicely and then enjoyed a cupcake...or 2 :)

The weather was beautiful, so most everyone headed outside.The kids played and the adults talked. Eventually we brought the gifts outside, and Caleb enjoyed all of his gifts. Thanks everyone! By 3:30 the party was wrapping up and people started heading home. Caleb had the most amazing day, so we thank everyone who shared the day with us!

Weekend at Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Linda's and Cousin Nolan's 6th Birthday!

Two weekends ago we headed back to the Manson area to spend some time with Grandpa Dennis, Grandma Linda, Aunt Hunter, and Uncle Houston...We had a wonderfully relaxing day together.

 Sunday afternoon we headed to the MAC Center in Manson to celebrate cousin Nolan's birthday with a carnival themed party. What a wonderful time! We are so blessed to have Nolan in our family, and we hope he has a wonderful 6th year!

8 Months Old!

So another month has flown by as Aubrey hit the 8 month mark last week. She is our little explorer and inquisitive go-getter. Matt and I have often had conversations about whether or not Caleb was ever this curious at this age, and we have decided that no he was not! Aubrey gets just about everywhere and is now starting to pull herself up on her knees a lot more, but she's not the most graceful when she tries to get down and often ends up falling over instead.

She has lost interest in baby food and definitely prefers to feed herself. We are still working through what foods she is capable of eating on her own but puffs, cheerios, and bananas are definitely approved :)

She's still a great sleeper sleeping from about 7:30 pm to 6:30 am everyday, and such a happy baby in the morning. She always greets me with a smile!

Easter 2015

He is risen! He is risen!

Easter morning we woke up, ate breakfast, found Easter baskets, got all dressed up, and headed off to church. Church was packed, and Aubrey and Caleb were not the best listeners. It was a lovely service, and we did make it through to the end (with only a couple of trips to the hall).

After church Aubrey had a little nap, and then we headed over to Grandma Teresa's. We ate a great meal and then searched for eggs and Easter baskets outside. The kids had fun playing outside and so did the adults :)

Aubrey was so exhausted from the walk outside she fell asleep in the stroller...Caleb, Makayla, and Uncle Jay fell asleep a short time later while watching a movie. What a wonderful day together!
