Spring Break (Day 2)

Sunday we woke up and enjoyed a nice continental breakfast at the hotel. We were ready to go, but we had to wait a little while for the aquarium at the Mall of America to open. We arrived just after 10:00 and made our way through the aquarium. Caleb loved all of the fish and learned a couple of new words and species like "octopus." After the aquarium we ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp's, explored Legoland, and did a little bit of shopping. By 2:00 the kids were ready for dessert and a nap. We headed home just in time. Caleb feel asleep before we left Minneapolis.

It was a great weekend full of family and fun! We look forward to another such outing (maybe next time it will be warm enough for the zoo!!!).

Playing with his new toys from our trip! He loves his turtle!

Spring Break (Day 1 Continued)

We had a quick lunch at Subway, and then the kids fell asleep in the car ride to the hotel. Unfortunately they did not stay asleep when we tried to move them from the car to the hotel, so Caleb was short on sleep... We hung out in the hotel rooms for a little bit, and then we decided to venture out to Ikea. There was so much for the kids to look at (and the adults too!) Then we headed back to the hotel for a little bit of swim time. Landon and Caleb loved it, and Nolan seemed to enjoy hearing all of us splash around. Next it was time for some pizza, relaxing, and then off to bed!

Snack time on Matt's lap before we head to Ikea.

The 3 Cousins!

Nolan tickling his little brother Landon...

Landon and Caleb playing with animals from Grandma Marjean. They played so well together! It was just too cute!

Spring Break! (Day 1)

We decided we needed a little spring break even if the weather didn't want to warm up yet for us... So we headed up to meet Uncle Adam, Aunt Sarah, Nolan, and Landon in Minneapolis. Grandma Marjean rode along with us, and we arrived at our first destination the Minnesota Children's Museum on Saturday morning. It took Caleb a little while to warm up to all of the "activity" at the museum, but once he found areas with water he was all in!! The kids had fun exploring and by 11:30 they were ready for lunch and a nap.

(Of course I forgot our camera in the car, so all of these pictures are from my phone or from Adam and Sarah's camera...oops!)
Our first stop was with the dinosaurs, but Caleb hardly let me set him down on the ground...

Checking out the fish...

He just loved that spinning sunflower.

Splashing in the water with Nolan, Grandma, and Daddy.

Showing Aunt Sarah what's in the water.

Silly Uncle Adam! He tried to get Caleb to go with him into the tunnel, but Caleb was too timid.
Caleb liked this log tunnel...

Caleb loved the puppy.

Checking things out with Aunt Sarah.

Caleb loved this exhibit because it lit up (I thought it was the most boring thing there...)
Water...this kid loves anything with water!
Can you tell they are getting tired?

The whole group...minus Grandma (taking the picture) before we left the museum.

Potato Head...

So Caleb is not a big fan of mashed potatoes (to my great disappointment), but I finally discovered a way to get Caleb to eat mashed potatoes... Give him the beater from the mixer! He just gobbles them up!

Yum! These are good!
