The rest of our visit to Twin Lakes...

After the 4th of July celebration, we stayed at Twin Lakes to enjoy the extended weekend with family. Friday we got up (way too early because Caleb hadn't adjusted to Grandma's house yet) and after a morning nap and lunch we headed over to Grandpa Dennis' to visit. Great Grandpa Ron was there, so Caleb enjoyed "showing off" and goofing around with his grandpas. Then we headed back to Twin Lakes and enjoyed the afternoon outside. Grandma Marjean came home from work, and we enjoyed a relaxing evening together.

Mommy and Daddy started Saturday morning off with a little kayak ride while Caleb played with Grandma Marjean. Mommy, Grandma, and Caleb took a walk to the state park and spent some time at the playground, and Daddy took the opportunity to fish (although he didn't have any luck). Then we ate lunch at the Mexican restaurant in Rockwell City and headed over to Great Grandma Ruth's. Caleb fell asleep in the car, so we let him sleep for a while in the shade with the windows down. Mommy, Daddy, GG Ruth, and Grandma Marjean enjoyed throwing a frisbee around and playing bocce ball. When Caleb woke up we headed inside for coffee time. Later in the afternoon we headed back to Twin Lakes and met up with most of Grandpa Dale's kids and grandkids. We even got a picture of all 10 grandkids together! (Too bad my camera had died so I didn't get a picture... but we really did get one taken!) We enjoyed supper together (except for Adam and Sarah they headed back to Manson) and then the crowd dispersed. Caleb went to bed, and we enjoyed sitting outside by the lake. Sunday we went to church and then headed back to Northwood. We had a wonderful time at Twin Lakes! It was absolutely beautiful weather and amazing company!

Happy 4th of July!

We spent our 4th of July at Twin Lakes with a whole bunch of family! Caleb played in the little kiddie pool, swam in the lake, went on a boat ride, and just enjoyed playing outside! It was definitely a fun filled day and such beautiful weather!

Last day at the Dells... Part 3

Saturday was our last full day at the Dells. The day was cooler than it had been, so we stuck to the indoor pools/waterparks and spent the whole day at our resort. By Saturday the kids had adjusted to "life" at the resort and were really enjoying the water! GG Betty, Paula, and Sammi returned from Chicago, and we ordered supper from MooseJaw restaurant which was delicious! Then it was off to bed, so we had a good night's rest before we packed up and left on Sunday morning. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the extra time we got to spend with each other! It's fun to see the kids starting to play together! We look forward to many family vacations to come!

Chilling on the couch before another day of fun!

Our little family...

Grandma Teresa and Caleb. (It got a little steamy inside so my camera lens kept fogging up)
Watch out! Big kids on the slide!

Jaxon at the end of the slide and a big splash from Dave.
Caleb enjoyed his ride on the slide...it was pretty fast!

Matt and Jaxon at the top of one of the kid water areas.

Caleb and Daddy having a little snack.
So funny...Caleb fell asleep with his hand in his snack cup while watching daddy drive his bumper boat.

Bumper boat rides...because Jaxon wanted to do it (sure Matt and Dave...)

Makayla liked the spouts of water.
Water fun!

Caleb always had to check out everything.

At the wave pool.

Riding home on Sunday. Caleb only slept about 10 minutes, but then slept for two hours in his crib once we got home. I think he had a great trip, but was happy to be home! Just like the rest of us!

Vacation... Part 2!

Friday the 28th we headed to the Wisconsin Dells Deerpark to feed the deer and other animals. Caleb kept reaching for more animal feed to feed the deer. Jaxon enjoyed it and ran around pointing and saying "Buck! Buck!" And all of us adults thoroughly enjoyed it too!!!

After some naps, we headed back out to more pools and more fun! Then we decided we would go out for dinner at a nice Italian restaurant...well the kids decided halfway through the meal that they had had enough. So we politely asked our waitress to pack up our food to go (before the kids really lost it), so we could enjoy it at the hotel while the kids ran around! Another day of fun was through...

The 3 cuties!

Checking out the 3 little piggies...

Petting the goats.

Feeding the goats...

Feeding the deer...

The closest Makayla would get to the deer. She's a little shy.

Grandma Teresa and Caleb at the deerpark.

The deer would just follow you everywhere...especially if you fed them.

Grandma Teresa and her grandkids!

Riding the chicken!

Since Jaxon couldn't ride the deer and that stone chicken didn't move, he begged to ride this pig!

Again Caleb was so tired from the fun he fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep for a couple of hours.
Makayla enjoyed her Cheeto snack!

Our little kiddos enjoying their playtime together!

Fun with Grandma T! The kids were constantly fighting for her lap!

Our dine-out experience turned in to a to-go experience ;-)
