Start of summer...

Here's what we've been up to in Northwood so far this summer...

While Caleb was at vacation bible school for a few hours every day last week, Aubrey and Mommy spent some time alone together. First we tried out the swing at the library park.

We went to mommy's friend Kim's house to play with Kim's niece Emerson and mommy's friend Beth's daughter Hilde. This is as close as they would get to the sprinkler.

We also attended the Worth County fair. The kids loved the rodeo (of course I have no pictures) and they also enjoyed the animals and riding on a couple of rides. I think Aubrey felt really special that she could ride with her brother!

Memorial Day Weekend!

We made our first trip of the summer up to Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Craig's cabin in Minnesota! There was a crew of 17 of us there, but there was plenty of room and tons of fun! The kids and men had a lot of fun catching fish. Caleb was so proud of the fish he caught! We also enjoyed swimming in the lake for a bit...it will be nice when it's a bit warmer though :) We look forward to many more trips to Madison Lake!

First summer trip back to Twin Lakes...

 The kids and I headed back to Manson/Twin Lakes for a couple of days at the beginning of June. The kids enjoyed playing with Mabel and Landon (Nolan was in Rochester for some appointments.), and Caleb really enjoyed that Landon slept over at Grandma Marjean's so they could have a sleepover :) Here's just some of the fun we had...

First we picked up Landon in Manson and headed out to Grandma Ruth's for a little bit of farm fun. Caleb had to try out the new pickup truck Grandma Marjean got for the farm.

Aubrey decided the horse was safer :)

Then we checked on the chickens and fed them some grass.

Grandma showed Caleb where to look for the eggs.

Then Landon showed Aubrey how to drive the pickup :) She'd be pretty good, but she refuses to hold on to the steering wheel!

So Aubrey ended up racing Landon on her horse...I think Landon won :-)

The boys had to check on the machinery.

And Aubrey decided to try the pickup again. This time her dolly rode shotgun!

Then we headed back to Grandma Ruth's house. It had recently been Ella's birthday, so she brought her new cotton candy machine and let us try some of the flavors! Yummy!

It was a fun trip, and we hope to make a couple of more trips this summer!
