Aubrey's Baptism Day!

This past weekend we celebrated Aubrey's baptism surrounded by family. Grandma Marjean came up to help get things ready on Saturday, and Caleb and Aubrey enjoyed the extra attention :-) Sunday we woke up early to make sure everything was ready and then headed off to church. Aubrey decided she wanted people to notice her in church, so she got a little loud during the scripture readings. Luckily she settled down by the time we walked up to the front of the church. She cried as Pastor Judy anointed her with water, but then she settled down again.

Aubrey's Godparents are her Uncle Dave and Aunt Jessie and her Aunt Anndee and Uncle Billy. We are so thankful for their decision to help us guide Aubrey through her walk with God. After church we headed home for a brunch of egg bake, fruit, mini muffins, orange juice, and lots of coffee :) We enjoyed spending time with family, and the kids had a lot of fun playing together. Then we had cake, and Caleb helped us open up Aubrey's presents. By 2:00 the kids (and adults) were tired, so everybody headed on home. It was a wonderful day!

Aubrey Is 2 Months Old!

On Wednesday the 8th mommy headed back to work, and the following day Aubrey turned 2 months old! It's hard to believe how fast time has gone by. Aubrey is still a happy baby, but she also knows what she wants and demands it immediately :) She likes to "talk" to us, and her smiles come more freely now. She enjoys laying on her play mat and reaching for her little toys. She's still a good eater, and she is very consistently sleeping 9-10 hours at night! (Great timing for mom going back to work!) I'm already missing my days with my two kiddos, but I appreciate the evenings and weekends even more now.

Happy kiddos :-)

Cousin Landon's 3rd Birthday!

Sunday we went to church, ate lunch at Grandma Marjean's, took naps, and then headed to cousin Landon's house for his birthday party! Caleb and Landon had fun playing farm for awhile and then Landon showed everybody his favorite youtube videos of the Peterson bros (and I have to admit they are entertaining). Then we enjoyed supper, cake, and watched Landon open up his presents. It was a wonderful day!

Happy girl :)

Caleb's First Ride in a Combine!

After  the chili cook-off, we headed over to Great Grandma Ruth's in the hopes that Caleb would take a nap...he took about a half hour nap which gave him enough energy to head out to the field. It was Caleb's first real trip out to the field for harvest, and he loved every minute. (Now at home when he plays farm he talks about Uncle Adam and Uncle Eric.) Caleb rode in the tractor with mommy and Great Uncle Eric, then he rode in the combine with daddy and Uncle Adam, and finally (his FAVORITE) he got to ride in the semi with daddy and Uncle Adam. Caleb is obsessed with semis right now :) Aubrey also rode along out to the field, but we didn't think it would be fair if she got to ride in a tractor at 7 weeks old when Caleb had to wait 2 and a half years...maybe next time :)
