First summer trip back to Twin Lakes...

The kids and I headed back to Manson/Twin Lakes for a couple of days at the beginning of June. The kids enjoyed playing with Mabel and Landon (Nolan was in Rochester for some appointments.), and Caleb really enjoyed that Landon slept over at Grandma Marjean's so they could have a sleepover :) Here's just some of the fun we had...

First we picked up Landon in Manson and headed out to Grandma Ruth's for a little bit of farm fun. Caleb had to try out the new pickup truck Grandma Marjean got for the farm.

Aubrey decided the horse was safer :)

Then we checked on the chickens and fed them some grass.

Grandma showed Caleb where to look for the eggs.

Then Landon showed Aubrey how to drive the pickup :) She'd be pretty good, but she refuses to hold on to the steering wheel!

So Aubrey ended up racing Landon on her horse...I think Landon won :-)

The boys had to check on the machinery.

And Aubrey decided to try the pickup again. This time her dolly rode shotgun!

Ready for the sleepover at Grandma Marjean and Grandpa Dale's :)

What did we do? (Don't they look like we caught them in the act? :-)

Water table fun!

Mabel trying out the slide.

Then Aubrey had to :)

Making "soup" and working at a restaurant.

We headed over to the state park so the kids could enjoy the sand...

Caleb loved to splash!

Buddies!

Aubrey, Mommy, and Mabel.

Aubrey started to get more daring about the water...

Caleb loved to "swim" on his hands.
The boys decided to try out fishing... with some large sticks they found.

Here's Landon and his grouper :)

The girls took turns on the tricycles. Here's Aubrey giving Mabel a ride.

Then Mabel tried to help Aubrey.

Then we headed back to Grandma Ruth's house. It had recently been Ella's birthday, so she brought her new cotton candy machine and let us try some of the flavors! Yummy!

Grandma Marjean and her granddaughters!
It was a fun trip, and we hope to make a couple of more trips this summer!
