This year we spent our Thanksgiving day at Grandma Marjean and Grandpa Dale's. There was quite a crew there, and we had an amazing time. Grandma Marjean did a great job organizing, decorating, and cooking food. The meat Dale grilled was delicious especially the pork loin. The kids had fun playing with Parker, Nora, Owen, and Elise. And the Aljets crew is always so nice to entertain the kids as well. The kids especially enjoyed searching for the stuffed animal turkey they kept hiding. It went on for probably an hour. Then the kids played "Button, Button who's got the button." And as the weather worsened and the lights continued to flicker on and off everyone gradually began to leave.
My mom and I weren't certain about going shopping, but by 9:00 we figured the weather wasn't going to worsen so we headed for Fort Dodge. We avoided most of the crazy people, and we did get quite a lot of shopping done before we headed home around 1:30 am. Friday morning we got up and headed back to Northwood. We enjoyed a lazy day at home, and Saturday evening we headed to Grandma Teresa's and Craig's to celebrate Thanksgiving again.
Again Caleb and Aubrey enjoyed playing with their cousins, and then found the time to sit down to eat. The meal was delicious and the company was very enjoyable. Aubrey is very jumpy around Teresa's dog (Molly), but she finally started warming up to her that day... :)
